Brianna Barrett is a writer, performer and cancer survivor from Portland, Oregon. Named “Portland's Best Storyteller” in Willamette Week’s annual Best of Portland awards in both 2016 and 2017, she performs in festivals, variety shows, schools, fundraisers and community events across the Pacific Northwest. She is a member of LineStorm Playwrights, a company-in-residence at Artist Repertory Theatre, and serves on the board of the Portland Area Theater Alliance. With Teen Cancer America, she traveled across the country shooting interviews for "Cancer Rebellion," a documentary project featuring cancer survivors from all 50 states. She coaches first-time storytellers for the HHH Foundation's annual Notes of Hope storytelling concert benefiting young adults with cancer and she has run writing workshops for various nonprofits including First Descents, Project Koru, the Portland Storytellers Guild, and the Northwest Narrative Medicine Collaborative. Every Wednesday, she facilitates a weekly writing workshop for cancer survivors at OHSU.
